Marimekko is an official supplier of uniforms for the Finnish women's Olympic team in Beijing. The uniforms made of the "Pisaroi" pattern designed by Maija Louekari are worn by the Finnish female athletes at formal events, such as the opening. In celebration of the Olympics, Marimekko has brought a series of fresh "Pisaroi" patterned products to its stores in Finland. Marimekko supports women's Olympic sports by donating part of the proceeds from the sales of the Olympia products to the Finnish Olympic Committee.
