Aino-Maija Metsola
Aino-Maija Metsola’s Mökki pattern found its way to Marimekko via the "Design, Meet the User!" competition. The fabric reflects the idyllic shore-house atmosphere along the banks of the Porvoo river. The colourways are brilliantly insightful; there is a traditional, ever-so sympathetic ochre-red, the lit windows of a dusky August evening, the shadowy green of the forest, and a beautiful grey misty view of cottages on the islands of the archipelago.
Juhannustaika is a seductive midsummer painting, which conceals magical flowers for Midsummer's Night. Aino-Maija Metsola's Juhannustaika is a seductive midsummer painting, which conceals magical flowers for Midsummer's Night.
